A Cheechako was walking down the muddy streets of Fairbanks and saw a Sourdough coming towards him.
"Excuse me,Old timer" he said. "I've been here for a while now and would like to become a Sourdough like yourself. Can you tell me how?"
"Well" drawled the Sourdough, "First you have to swim the Yukon River. Then you have to make love all night long to an eskimo maiden. And last you have to kill a Polar Bear."
The Cheechako set out determined in his quest and the towns folk were amazed to see him come dragging himself back into town some weeks later bloody from head to toe and dripping wet.
"OK," he gasped "I'm almost there, I swam the Yukon River and made love to the Polar Bear, now just tell me where to find the Eskimo Maiden I have to kill.
